I majored in Fine Arts at Douglass College, New Brunswick, NJ, with a concentration in printmaking (etchings, aquatints, and lithographs.)  After graduating from college I worked in New York City as the Assistant to the Director of Art at Norcross Greeting Cards.   I left work to raise a family and started a small business doing fine line ink drawings of homes in Westfield, NJ.  After completing over 200 drawings of houses, I left art behind and worked for ten years as the Executive Director of the Westfield Day Care Center.

I have been painting in oil since 2000, and I began working in water colored pen and inks in 2006.  I've taken only two painting courses in my life so I think of myself as a self-taught painter.

I started showing and selling my work in New Jersey in 2005.  I have participated in group shows with the Contemporary Art Group at the Watchung Arts Center, Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, the Cultural and Heritage Gallery in Somerset, Overlook Hospital in Summit, The Artist Framer in Cranford, the Art Way Gallery at the Princeton Allliance Church in Plainsboro, the South Avenue Gallery in Scotch Plains, the Upstairs Gallery of the Community Theatre in Morristown, Les Malamut Gallery in Union, and the Diversity Gallery in Clark.  A number of my works were offered for sale in the online gallery ArtQuiver from March, 2009 to April, 2010.  I was elected co-president of the Contemporary Art Group in 2009.  Solo shows are listed below.

I am represented by The Artist Framer in Cranford, New Jersey, where you can find originals and limited editon prints of my most current works.  Note cards and prints based on my paintings are on sale at The Artist Framer and at The Town Book Store in Westfield, New Jersey.
